Asset settings

Asset settings is one of the advanced settings, found under Settings → Advanced → Asset settings. It manages organization-wide behavior for your assets.

Utility meters

The main option is Enable utility meters for assets. When switched on, assets can record utility meter readings (for example electricity, water, or heating), which you can then track over time.

Meter data feeds Flowtly's utility and sustainability reports, so it is worth keeping the readings up to date — monthly is a good rhythm.

Changing asset settings requires the Properties manager role; other users can view the current configuration.
