Create New Location

Flowtly Editorial Team1 min

As an Admin, Property Manager, or Location Manager, you have the ability to create new locations to which different properties can be assigned. This is a useful option when we want to divide resources into logical locations, e.g. by dividing them into floors or other offices. Locations can be managed in Organisation settings from the user context menu, under Locations tile.

To create a new location or adjust an existing one, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Organization Settings from the user context menu.
  2. Select Locations tile from the menu.
  3. You will see a list of existing locations. To create a new location:
    • Click on the Create New Location button.
  4. Provide the necessary details (Name, Open and Close hours) for the new location.
  5. Save the new location.

You can also edit existing locations by selecting them from the list and clicking the Edit button and providing up-to-date information.

Example use cases

  • Organizing properties within a multi-floor office building (e.g., "Ground Floor", "First Floor").
  • Differentiating properties across multiple physical sites or branches of an organization.
  • Categorizing resources by specific departments or zones within a larger facility (e.g., "Marketing Department", "IT Lab").
  • Managing different types of bookable spaces distinctly (e.g., "Meeting Rooms", "Hot Desks", "Event Spaces").
