Connect your Stripe account

You can connect Stripe to Flowtly as a read-only bank source. Once connected, your Stripe payouts and charges sync into Flowtly automatically and reconcile against your invoices.

What you get

• Stripe charges are matched to the right income invoice, with the paying client named on each transaction.
• Payouts from Stripe to your bank account are recognised as internal transfers, so balances and cashflow stay correct.
• Stripe revenue feeds your budgets, P&L and cashflow forecasts alongside your other bank accounts.

Security: read-only only

Flowtly connects to Stripe using a restricted, read-only API key, stored encrypted. It can read your transactions but can never create charges, issue refunds, or move money.

How to connect

1. In your Stripe dashboard, go to Developers → API keys → Create restricted key.
2. Give the key read permissions for balance and balance transactions, and no write permissions.
3. Copy the restricted key (it starts with rk_).
4. In Flowtly, open your finance settings and add the Stripe connection using that key.
5. Your Stripe transactions will start appearing in Flowtly and reconciling automatically.
