Invoice approvers

Flowtly Editorial Team2 min

The Invoice approvers page, located under Settings → People → Invoice approvers, allows Account Owners to manage which team members can approve invoices.

Only users with the Account Owner role can grant or revoke the Invoice Approver role. Granting the Invoice Approver role enables a team member to approve invoices. Revoking this role removes their ability to approve invoices.

Example use cases

  • Assigning a new finance team member: An Account Owner can grant the Invoice Approver role to a newly hired finance manager to enable them to approve incoming invoices.
  • Restricting approval access: If a team member with the Invoice Approver role changes departments, an Account Owner can revoke their role to prevent them from approving invoices outside their new responsibilities.
  • Delegating approval authority: For organizations with high invoice volume, an Account Owner can assign the Invoice Approver role to several team members across different departments to distribute the workload.
