Exporting Invoice PDFs for a Period
At the end of a month or a quarter, your accountant usually asks for the same thing: every invoice you issued in that period, as PDFs. Flowtly can assemble that for you as a single ZIP archive, so you do not have to open and download invoices one at a time.
Two ways to get your invoice PDFs
Pick invoices by hand. In Accountancy → Invoices, select the invoices you want and choose Download selected PDFs. Flowtly returns a ZIP containing one PDF per selected invoice. This is the right tool when you want a specific handful of documents.
Ask your AI assistant for a whole period. If you have connected Flowtly to an AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT) through the Flowtly connector, you can simply ask:
"Give me all our invoices for June."
The assistant prepares the export and hands you back a download link. This is the easier route when you want an entire month, and it is the only way to export a period without selecting each invoice yourself.
What goes into the export
- Only invoices you actually issued. An invoice counts as issued once it has been sent to the client, or accepted through KSeF e-invoicing. Drafts and unsent invoices are never included — they are not documents you put into the world, and your accountant should not receive them.
- Correction invoices are included. A correction is its own legal document, belonging to the period in which it was issued.
- The period is based on the sale date, not the issue date. This is the same date Flowtly's other accountancy exports use, so a month's PDF export and a month's CSV export always describe the same set of invoices.
How long it takes, and the download link
Flowtly renders each invoice into a PDF, so a large period takes a little time — think a couple of minutes for a normal month rather than an instant response. The work happens in the background: your assistant will tell you it has queued the export, then let you know when the archive is ready.
The download link is valid for one hour. After that it stops working, and you will need to ask for the export again. This is deliberate: the link works without logging in, so anyone holding it can open the archive. Treat it like the invoices themselves — do not forward it to people who should not see your billing.
Limits
A single export covers up to 200 invoices. If your period contains more than that, Flowtly will tell you the exact number and ask you to narrow the range — exporting one month at a time is the usual answer.
If a period contains no issued invoices, you will get a clear message saying so rather than an empty archive. If you were expecting invoices to be there, the most common reason is that they are still drafts.
