They provide the structure for project creation, team management, time tracking, and profitability analysis. Flowtly supports several project types: Fixed-price, Time & Material, Non-billable, and Internal. Configuring each project with specific details aligns its tracking and reporting capabilities with your business processes.

Project Details and Management

Each project in Flowtly is configured with specific details to accurately track work, manage teams, and analyse profitability:

• Name: A unique identifier for the project.
• Reference: An optional key that names the project in systems outside Flowtly, unique within the organisation.
• Client: The client associated with the project.
• Currency: The currency used for financial tracking within the project.
• Dates: The project's start and end dates.
• Team members with per-member rates: Individuals assigned to the project along with their billing or cost rates.
• Colour/icon: A visual indicator for easy identification in lists and dashboards.

Projects support tracking of work times, invoice generation directly from project data, and budget linkage for financial oversight. Team members involved in a project can be assigned different levels of access, such as viewing project data, managing project details, leading the project, or overseeing the associated account. A project's account manager can open that project and see the billing rates of its members even when no organisation role gives them access to projects in general; this applies only to projects where they are the account manager, not to every project.
