Objectives

Objectives in Flowtly bring goal-setting directly into your workspace. Whether you follow a formal OKR (Objectives and Key Results) practice or simply want to track measurable KPIs, the Objectives module gives every team member, department, and the whole company a shared, transparent view of what matters and how progress is measured.

Each Objective is owned by a specific employee and has a clear scope — Individual, Department, or Company — so everyone knows who is accountable and who can see the goal. Objectives are broken down into Key Results: concrete, measurable checkpoints that together determine how well an objective is met. Key Results can carry different weights so that more critical outcomes count for more in the overall score.

Objectives can stand alone as ongoing goals, or they can be linked to a review cycle so that Key Result outcomes feed directly into performance reviews. Top-level company objectives can cascade down to department and individual objectives, giving every team member a clear line of sight from their daily work to company strategy.

Example use cases

  • Company OKR programme: Set a company-level objective ("Grow recurring revenue by 30%") with Key Results for each revenue driver, then let team leads create department objectives aligned to the same goal.
  • Individual performance targets: An employee's manager creates personal objectives for the upcoming review period. After the cycle closes, Key Result outcomes roll into the performance review automatically.
  • Department KPI tracking: A department head sets ongoing Key Results for metrics like customer satisfaction score or sprint velocity, tracked independently of any review cycle.
  • Cross-team alignment: Align multiple team objectives to a shared parent so leadership can see consolidated progress across all contributing teams in one view.
