Emails & Notifications
Flowtly sends emails and in-app notifications to keep employees, managers, and clients informed about important events. Emails are delivered to your inbox while in-app notifications appear in the bell icon at the top of the Flowtly workspace. Push notifications can be enabled in supported browsers.
Email categories
Flowtly sends emails across the following areas:
- Holidays & time-off — request submitted, approved, rejected, accepted, and manager-added notifications
- Invoices — invoice delivery to clients with PDF attachment, CC recipients, and customizable message
- Projects & tasks — project assignment, task assignment, task status changes, and task comments
- Schedules — normal and exception schedule assignments, active schedule updates
- Documents — document expiration alerts at 1, 7, and 14 days before expiry
- Agreements — new employment agreement creation notifications
- Property booking — booking confirmation and cancellation
- Feedback — feedback request and visible feedback given
- Reminders — working hours logging reminders and end-of-contract alerts
- User & account — registration activation, password reset, MFA codes, workspace creation
- Organization — onboarding welcome, user invitations (active, inactive, and new users)
In-app notifications
The bell icon in the top-right corner of the workspace shows unread notifications with a badge count. Notifications are colour-coded by severity:
- Info (blue) — task comments, status changes, suggestions
- Success (green) — invoice sent, holiday accepted
- Warning (yellow) — holiday rejected
- Critical (red) — system-level alerts
Each notification may include a call-to-action button that links directly to the relevant page in the workspace.
Push notifications
Flowtly supports browser push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging. When enabled, you receive desktop notifications for new events even when the Flowtly tab is in the background. To enable push notifications, allow the browser notification permission when prompted.
