Draft booking
GeneralA proposed assignment of a person to a project role that is saved and visible but not yet committed. A draft does not count as coverage until someone with the authority confirms it.
Why it matters
Planners need to sketch alternatives without making a project look staffed three times over. Keeping proposals out of the coverage figures until they are confirmed keeps the plan honest and leaves the final call with the approver.
Worked example
A resource manager drafts two developers on the same role to compare options. The role still reads as uncovered; once the approver confirms one draft, that booking counts and the other draft can be removed.
In Flowtly
In Resourcing, a draft shows as a dashed outline labelled, for example, 40% draft, and is left out of every coverage figure. The Resourcing manager role is enough to create drafts; confirming one turns it into a booking, and a confirmation that would take someone above 125% is refused.
