What's new in Flowtly: early October 2026

Oct 10, 2026

The first ten days of October brought search across the whole app, timesheets you can review before they go out, and monthly sign-off on projects. Here is what is new so far this month.

Press / or Ctrl/Cmd + K anywhere to search projects, tasks, counterparties, invoices, people, departments, contracts, budgets, assets and settings pages. Results respect your role and the modules your organisation uses. Settings can also be found from the sidebar, even by currency.

Timesheets and project sign-off

  • Review before export. Check and adjust a timesheet before you export it, with a live preview of the structure. Earlier exports are kept, marked as exported or adjusted, and can be compared.
  • Choose a report type, group by task and export to XLSX as well as PDF and CSV. Flowtly remembers your export settings.
  • Managers open time tracking on their whole team, with an “only me” switch, and filters apply as you click.
  • Monthly project sign-off: a column on the project list, a review screen, locking and notifications.
  • See and edit each member's billing rate on the project, and add several people at once.
  • Project financials show margin per phase, and purchase-order lines compare estimated with actual.

Leave, continued

  • The ledger shows balances from previous years, and each line says whether it follows the rule or a manual override, and who set it.
  • Approvers can change which leave type they grant, and see the balance up to the end of the person's contract, with a warning beyond it.
  • Leave consumption analytics by year and month, with a contract-type filter and export. Each person's leave history can be exported as CSV.
  • A clearer absence planner, and a self-approval switch for individual people.

Invoices and collections

  • Mark an invoice you delivered outside Flowtly as sent, and undo it.
  • A “Not chased” tab lists overdue invoices that no reminder has picked up.
  • Invoices show the correction applied and the resulting balance.
  • Incoming invoices accept a tolerance for small payment differences and record who accepted one.
  • The approval drawer shows who has the invoice now, its project and contract, and warns when a tag owner cannot approve.

Your dashboard and your organisation

  • The organisation sets the default dashboard widgets and their order, and each person adds the rest. On a phone you can rearrange and hide them.
  • New “Days off” and “Time-off requests” widgets.
  • Admins can pause notifications until a date, for the whole organisation or one channel, and every notification links to the switch that stops it.
  • An email history under Administration shows what was sent to whom and whether it arrived.
  • Custom task attributes appear as list columns, in the task drawer and as filters.
  • Former employees drop out of pickers and head counts, with a switch to include them.

Key takeaways

  • Global search on / or Ctrl/Cmd + K.
  • Timesheets reviewed before export, and monthly project sign-off.
  • Leave history across years, and approvers who see the whole picture.
  • A dashboard your organisation can set up, and notifications you can pause.
