What's new in Flowtly: August 2026
Aug 31, 2026
August was about seeing the whole company's money in one place, and about taking the friction out of everyday invoicing, projects and leave. Here is what shipped.
One finance overview: plan, billed and cash
- The finance overview was rebuilt as a company-wide summary of plan against billed against cash, following whatever period you select.
- Cash-out (formerly Payments) now lives under Finance, with totals, a breakdown by supplier, click-through from any bar and a comparison with the previous period.
- The costs dashboard can group by invoice tags.
- An initial budget can mix currencies, with the exchange rate fixed per line, and you choose the currency a budget is displayed in.
- Planned billing and planned cost sit on one line, with the margin between them, and every amount says whether it is net or gross.
Invoicing without the fiddly parts
- Line templates per counterparty: save the lines you invoice a client every month and pick them from a list on each line.
- Corrections behave properly. A correction can be corrected again, takes the date of the supply it corrects, previews its number, accepts negative quantities and no longer inflates monthly totals.
- A “Waiting on me” tab on supplier-invoice approval shows only what needs your decision.
- Settle a negative incoming invoice without a bank transaction, record a cash cost with no document, and invoice in “month” units.
- Period filters on the cost-invoice list, and search that finds an invoice by its number.
Banking you can rely on
- Flowtly flags a bank feed that has stopped delivering, and warns you before a bank consent expires.
- MT940 imports show when matching is still running.
- Bank accounts can be hidden instead of deleted, and deleted for real when you mean it.
Projects and tasks
- Project templates: create a project, client included, from a template you can preview and manage.
- Archive a project instead of deleting it, give projects a description and a reference you can search by, and see logged hours on the project's KPI strip.
- Projects without a team are flagged, and Flowtly explains why a person cannot be added.
- After you log time, Flowtly offers to move the task forward or close it, and tasks can be marked “work in progress”.
- A redesigned task drawer, with structured subtasks and the colleague who raised the task.
Time, leave and contracts
- Your personal view shows overtime, and time exports include project phases and every row, not just the first 500.
- Leave balances show what remains, and allowances can be entered in hours and minutes.
- Manage your organisation's contract types in settings.
- Contracts read payment terms and schedules from the document text, show the rates they state and preview the signed file. A new review workbench shows the contract, the extracted data and the checks side by side.
- Separate roles for contracts, and a viewer role that sees approved invoices only.
- KSeF: choose the settlement period of a correction, and see why a connection failed.
Security and languages
- Admins can switch off email sign-in codes, and users can set up multi-factor authentication straight from the login screen.
- Resetting your password signs out your other sessions.
- Romanian is now an app language, the seventh.
Key takeaways
- Plan, billed and cash in one finance overview, with a new Cash-out view.
- Invoice line templates and corrections that behave correctly.
- Project templates and archiving, and tasks that move forward as you log time.
- Bank feeds that warn you before they go quiet, and MFA you can turn on yourself.
