Working with multiple organizations
Flowtly lets a single account belong to several organizations — useful when you run more than one company, work across separate client accounts, or keep a business apart from a side project. Each organization keeps its own data, members, and settings entirely separate.
Switching between organizations
The organization you are currently working in appears in the account menu. Open it to see every organization your account belongs to, then choose another to switch. Flowtly reloads with that organization's projects, finances, and people; nothing carries over between organizations.
Joining or creating another organization
- You join an organization when someone invites your account to it, which also assigns you a role there.
- You can create a brand-new organization from the organizations menu whenever you need a fresh, separate workspace.
Roles and access are set per organization
Your role and permissions are defined separately in each organization. You might be an owner in one and an ordinary member in another, so what you can see and do changes as you switch.
Example use cases
- A consultant keeps a separate organization for each client and switches between them as the working day moves from one engagement to the next.
- An owner runs two companies from a single login, switching organizations to invoice and report on each independently.
- A new team member is invited into an existing organization and switches to it once their onboarding elsewhere is complete.
